What is GradePush?
GradePush Core is an open-source, self-hosted alternative to GitHub Classroom. It brings classrooms, assignment instructions, student repositories and automated test results together in a workspace managed by your institution.
How it works
- A teacher connects a GitHub organization and creates a classroom.
- The teacher prepares an individual or team assignment, then shares its invitation.
- Students accept the assignment and work in a GitHub repository.
- GradePush tracks pushes and presents results from GitHub Actions.
Students keep using Git and their preferred editor. Their code stays in GitHub repositories. Automated tests run through GitHub Actions.

The demo lets you explore GradePush with sample data. It resets daily and does not create real GitHub repositories.
Core and Cloud
Core is licensed under AGPL-3.0-only. One installation serves one institution, with multiple teachers and classrooms. The interface is available in English and French.
With self-hosting, your institution operates the server, database, updates and backups. Server hosting and GitHub Actions usage may have their own costs.
GradePush Cloud is a planned managed service. It is not available to sign up for yet.
